Conscience – Written Tuesday 14th February 2006 (Aged 30)

Conscience

does the conscience ever knock?
are there ever moments of self doubt?
are you always absolutely sure?
what you do when self doubt does creep in?
how do you rationalise it?
tell me,
where do you begin?
do you feel comfortable with who you are?
can you really put your hand on your heart –
and say,
yes, i am right
do you have a conscience that mags?
do you hide it all away –
or do you hope it never makes you sad
so tell me now,
in truth,
does the conscience ever knock?
