Play Mate – Written March 2006 (Aged 31)

Play Mate

i will be the play mate
that you want me to be
i know you want me to pretend
so we could just close our eyes
and make up friends
i mean, if that is what you want
if you want,
i will play your game
i will adopt the role of, –
‘little autistic boy’
and then you can be my shadow
but it is not my kind of thing
however it appears to be your flavour
i will be what you want
and then you can play the saviour
and we will see –
if it is really does repent for the past
and we will see –
if all the guilt and blame that you carry
will, just go away…
however i suspect it will not
your trauma is hardly something
that can be so easily forgot
