Multiple Tracks

others talk to me
they sound concerned
but concerned –
for their own fires
which continue to burn
i stand back –
with a life
of multiple tracks
they do not realise
how much they have
i listen to their concerns
nursing hopes and dreams
for someone –
who will never be real
i would move everything
just let me feel
