Company – Written Friday 13th June 2008 (Aged 33)

Company

boss of my own company
managing director of my own plc
a one person protester,
who has set themselves free
a workforce of one
no more dangerous ladders to climb
a workforce of one
out on flexitime
i did for a while,
in the early days really smile
but it got to be,
that i bit my bottom lip
and that is no kind of partnership
now my world is my own
shareholders i no longer have
stakeholders can go hang
contracts can go and burn
i am in charge of my life
