Slumped In The Corner – Written June 2008 (Aged 33)

Slumped In The Corner

i saw a dream die last week
it gave a cough,
and then a final sigh
then it refused to speak
i knelt down and gave it a chance
but it sat there,
slumped in the corner
now i know that we will never dance
i saw a dream die last week
and inside part of me died to
something good and pure
suddenly and unexpectedly fell through
