It’s Difficult

it’s hard being understood…
what if –
you do not really understand yourself?
what if you are just not sure?
it’s hard living by decision of the head
because sometimes it’s cruel
so i try to follow the path
i try not to let my heart rule
it’s hard because i am getting older
it’s not like when i was young,
when i thought i was ancient
because i had reached twenty one
it’s hard following the straight and narrow
three wheels can long for four
and if i am the wheel, then you are the barrow
if i am the key, then you are the door
