Sweet
the lady looks very sweet
a new dress,
and a seaside street
with one too many hairdressers
and a pavement that needs a sweep
the look looks special
and it’s just quarter to nine
the day is in drag,
but it could turn out fine
just like a ladies new bag
the first time i fell down
black and blue,
i still stuck around
it must be the flavour of life
or the strange sound
bitter sweet of lady like neat
the drum inside,
still had a steady beat
a new day,
the lady looks very sweet
