Gone To Ground

i see –
that since i stopped hanging around
you have gone to ground
i see –
that obsession you had over me
that angry fire,
the one that made you into a liar
you think i have left
so the attacks they never waned
i see –
your only wish was to cause pain
and put me under the spell of misery and strain
i see –
you thought i was weak and lame
