Inability To Think
there was a mitre square
full of religion
and there were lives going spare
i am not holy,
i am not real,
not in the way that we imagine
but our choices always have a certain feel
and that is why they need to be examined
choice is sometimes limp,
and blighted often,
by our inability to think
there was a mitre square
full of religion
and clothes that we used to wear
i am not holy,
i am not real
i took time to paint my desert island
i chose a new shade of teal
i packed out a dining hall,
and scoffed all my favourite meals
let’s be better,
and believe what we know to be true
i have noticed your sprectrum,
and all its rainbow hues
