Overlay – Written Thursday 26th September 2023 (Aged 48)

Overlay

slept well last,
fell down a well,
where,
once at the bottom
i was overlayed by dreams
felt well today,
coffee,
went down well,
why is waking up so hard?
why does the residue of dreams dwell?
sat through those years,
just dreaming
met,
carnival kings and queens
overlayed by broken shards
and of course, dreams
the creative process,
it can be so inspiring
the question is…
