Rushes
did they show you the rushes of your life
did someone see your menu,
and then pick a bite
did they build you a room
and then,
add a light
did you try, try with all of your mite
as the rain washed down your cliffs
and bin bags full of your dreams
found cupboards into which they could fit
but, do not be shallow,
or so deeply afraid
those people who reside in the foundry
they have no idea how you were made
i take all this,
the shit that slides down our walls
and i hear the noise of subversive dreams
they pitch up, but then they fail
life is the actual pitch,
either some kind of sale or something to play on
did they show you the rushes of your life,
did they show you?
