Love, Love, Love
love was excitement
and the unknown
at least,
when i was young
when my life,
well it had barely begun
love,
it didn’t mature as quick –
as i would have liked
but it grew up with all of its might
it found people –
who taught me how to make lights
and love,
it was middle aged
before i had found the key
the one that unlocks the cage
before homeward dreams
get too easily displayed
before,
novelty starts to fade
it’s more than i imagined
even when love –
needs to have its head examined
love, love, love,
all shiny and new
then a dash of realism in life’s stew
love, love, love
the shaping of all things me and you
