Opinions – Written Friday 1st November 2024 (Aged 49)

i don’t know if people –
really understand the words that they say.
after all,
it’s just another day,
and sunrises, they always come and go.
i wonder if people truly understand,
i wonder if they ever really know.
why is it then,
my self-beliefs –
are the ones i can never really sow,
and why is the weight of their issues –
the ones i always tow?
maybe there is a chance that i don’t know.
but i don’t know if people –
really understand the words that they say.
after all,
it’s just another day,
and truths and lies,
they really do come and go.
i wonder if people ever really know,
or is it a carefully constructed show?
i can only look on as the eternal spectator,
as meaningful interaction is inevitably laid low.
