Worth More Than This

i have more to offer than this.
i am more than a ‘pat on the head’ and a ‘wait in line.’
i know there is molten creativity that leaks from my mind,
but… i have more to offer than this.
me, undervalued – reduced to a list.
but this is not a fog of rage,
nor is there a red mist.
sunk my dreams, so steady the ship.
life – it has its moments, then it blips.
i am on point, but i am never hip
i have more to offer than this.
it’s not entitlement or self-portrayed nonsense,
and it’s no lost genius syndrome or even arrogance.
but… i am worth more than this.
i have more to offer,
certainly more than all this crazy, uncoordinated pitch.
