Mr. Betty
So sad.
Lose such a friend,
such a life comes to an end.
And though we say they are just pets,
the place they hold in our hearts
makes them impossible to forget.
So sad,
and our hearts are broken.
Every moment.
Every space.
Every glance.
Every bowl.
Every lost moment—
none of it goes unspoken,
and our hearts are truly broken.
And yes, we’re so upset.
We loved him like he was family,
not just a pet.
And the reality is:
such love turns to such suffering.
And there is nowhere to end or begin.
But we know we will always love,
and we will never forget him.
