days which should been long
with a delicate stretch
are days with situations
where we are both bereft

i miss the closeness
just having somebody there
i guess that is human nature
the need and want to share

you find the drill part
i will set up the bench
if time decays
then it never reveals a stench

i do not want to be a poet
sat there in the poetic mist
just buy me some vanity
or get me some poetic justice

transparent but holding tight
they painted the backdrop
of uneasy nights

a dance of twisted knots
where calligraphy –
always joins the dots

confetti at a joyous wedding
a brightly lit float
a welcome oar,
for a floundering boat

what if –
good people –
will always –
ideologically drown
