I Found my Soul on Saturday

i found my soul on Saturday
for some reason
it took a while to find
and the play with the boards,
on which i trod
left me feeling like a soul slave
to a less well received god
i found my soul on Saturday
and before alcohol washed it away
the love of friends
convinced it stay
for some reason,
i have always felt the back hand of blame
and picked last for a team
that wondered why it ever came
i found my soul on Saturday
