Who Are you Convincing?

boasting to friends?
of your ‘wonderful’ life,
see how I phrase wonderful,
i could do the same with ‘life’.
those that tell,
those that boast,
they are the ones for whom,
happiness has normally sunk in a boat.
who are you convincing?
when every uttered banality,
leaves the audience wincing.
if you have heard it once,
you have heard it a million times.
a life long actor,
reading the poorest lines.
a life with no real ‘X Factor’.
just one left to limp along,
with a constant fracture.
boasting to friends?
trying to prop up self esteem,
send out the search party!
for long lost hope and dreams.
