Convert

i watch someone trust
with too much ease
because they need to believe
because loneliness 
they feel, has to leave
to die,
but never to grieve 
i watch them open their heart
i listen to their hope
and become aware 
of a life preoccupied by hurt
hoping beyond hope
that it will work
that loneliness will change
to happiness it will convert
