sarah has found turning forty hard
dan knows, he can tear her apart
amuteur dramatics,
has found its truest ever farce
and if they both learn their lines
then they can all take part
the approval comes
with everything sarah shares
for her, a life perfect
is a life selectively shared
those birds of prey
circle with such thought
shame the women are turned to mice
easy prey for the hawk
who treats their insecurity as a vice
