Giving

Giving

i am only able to give you what i have
i do not have anything else
not a thing hidden
just myself

i am only able to care from one person
that i feel, i should be feeling for
there are so many lessons in life
i am not always convinced
those lessons are right

i feel jinxed, with anything long term
but i am just a, ‘kid’
give the, ‘kid’ time, and he will learn
give the, ‘kid’ a glimpse
and he will yearn for what he sees
even if he does not believe

i have my needs
i wanted you to stay today
a lot longer than you could
it is about giving
i hope i am giving well
i hope you are not planning on leaving
only time well tell
