There is a Crisis in Our Communities

there is a crisis in our communities
people marvel
at super hero fantasies
but people are drowning
people are trying
to stay afloat and swim in their own tears
communities are falling apart
public services fleeced
no go zones –
can no longer be policed
the police are pared to their bones
and the teachers try to teach
children scared to go home
this is what’s happening now
this is ‘austerity’
this is the true face of conservatism
and in one way we are all fatalities
except bad Boris,
and the sinister Lord Snooty
their class and privilege
means they get to keep all the booty
what is happening
ethics and values sink
in sewage tank of waste morality
someone save our society
someone resussicate our communities
