The Giggling Pair

did you still think it was me?
i cannot be seen here
it is eating me
i have got to have something left
i need some fantasy
something to blot out the boredom
it took something from me
that day i faced myself
and in crept reality,
and responsibility
a giggling pair…
who just came into my life
and proceeded to sit there
that’s what’s eating me
i have got to pin it down
i am concerned about responsibility
and all it entails
and i am dead scared, in case i fail
