Perhaps When This Pain Has Gone
it was you that decided –
that my life was not my own
it was you that decided –
that you had to reinvent it
and it was you –
that insisted i was alone
and all i can do is say –
on your madness you happily fed
believing beyond reason
by autistic demands we are led
you have sat there
and typed away your views
but when confronted
you cower with nothing to say
should i let go?
should i move on?
should i offer the milk of human kindness
perhaps, but only when this pain is gone
