Lonely Young Woman
lonely young woman
someone who has had a lifetime of hurt
someone who does not feel beautiful
and is never sure that she really works
wanting to be loved,
but in love with love itself
always insecure,
and therefore looking at everybody else
lonely young woman
she opens up her heart far too easily
always picking those vultures
who then pick her heart to pieces
she studies well,
and she writes a compelling thesis
who is this young woman
who is this person residing here
lonely young woman
she just wants someone to pull her near
making dreams out of leftover tears
making personal nightmares,
from the shadows of her fears
i see her frame,
though i have never actually met her
i do know her special name
and i know she has so much so share
