Saying Goodbye to the Circus

i have let the circus,
come into my life
they,
did, at least for a while,
entertain me
they did make me smile
but now I ask them to leave
well, it has been a while
they,
took more than they gave
and when the acrobats keep falling
they just cannot be saved
and clowns…
well, they are never funny
and inside they are so down
so I have to say,
goodbye
goodbye to this circus
with its make up tear under its eye
all the acts,
were never truly there for me
that is a staple fact
so it is time to say goodbye
and I will not be looking back
