Smile

beware of their smile
it is as false as the dye in their hair
what is underneath
is what is really there
beware of their condescending nature
it is plastic in the extreme
more like to fracture
than enrich your being
it will pass the time of day
it will wish you, good morning
but the smile will eventually crack
or expose itself and reveal what it is
then you will see the person underneath
the bitterness they carry
the harshness they wish to inflict
over the years life has been a trial
and you will see what has happened to them
how it has made them run down and vile
so, when they flash a smile at you
beware of their smile
the falseness seems to be the clue
