Seven Year Cycles of Change

where have the last seven years gone
seven year cycles of change
at sixteen i had only just begun
where have these years gone?
the memories are like lights
when it is dark, i turn them on
and allow myself a little indulgence
where have all those years gone?
not lived especially fast
but… so suddenly the past
seven year cycles of change
looking forward to the next seven years
i have done well so far, all things considered
who will i meet now i am who i am
who will take me forward?
and who will grasp my hands?
who will get away with it and who will caught
i know my future cannot be bought
a feeling of a rapidly pass life
no one is to blame
time speeds up so much as you get older
