Feathers are Ruffled

all those people
wandering in and out –
of each others lives
but what does it mean
i mean we shuffle
and we try to mix
feathers are ruffled
and we try to fit
but i wonder exactly
what these people
are expecting to find
perhaps not the landscapes
of my own mind
but then i was –
the one at the convention
screaming not to be conventional
conformity is detention
and i am far too emotional
have some retention
and be more sustainable
