A Good Samaritan
you think i am depressed
like a catholic
that is sexually repressed
like an alcoholic
wears whiskey so well dressed
you think i am down
like the first date
that never made it to the cinema in town
like the vehicle that looked black
but turned out to be brown
you think i am depressed
well dreams only have so much air
like a good samaritan
really only has so much care
and an exotic dancer
does not worry too much about what to wear
a gambler lives by chance
i am not so down
i just want an old fashioned dance
across the music hall floor
but i want to stay in the spotlight
and not waltz out of the door
