Scaffolding
questions –
are the scaffolding –
around our lives
as we carry out repairs
love is the question
do they really care?
it is the touch of paint
a colour to share
something to leave us faint
but i am not so sure
i have watched others
build lives out of years
out of what went before
and the rolling tears
but is it complete?
is it paper –
upon unsettled concrete
i have seen listed status
applied to a relationship
as it falls to bits
those early days, left behind
and then, really missed
then couples become archeologists
and they start to dig
