Desert Island Isolation
getting a chance
in times of stress
when all you want to do is dance
yet everything is a mess
losing control and the hold
but you can be better than this
getting a doll
when all you wanted was a bike
is a feeling of rejection
worse than the blackness of a lonely night
getting a watch, to watch time
losing your footing
when all you wanted was an avant garde mind
it is worse than desert island desolation
when the gold is hard to find
and from shallow grove
leave you in unwelcomed isolation
getting a slap in the face
when all you want to do it build
it is losing too much pace
mind games cause connotations
getting a chance is far better
than desert island isolation
no matter what you do
or whatever the situation
