I Am Frightened About the Future

i am frightened about the future
it looks like it will explode
it looks uncertain
i wonder if it will go
i am frightened about society
we are all building barricades
don’t we all want to be free?
i am frightened about the children
tiny fingers and toes
turning into hate filled faces
i am frightened about the future
