Those Floating By

sometimes –
when you are alone –
on the boat –
you try,
to catch those floating by
hoping that what is sought
will be caught
with the grab of a hand
sometimes –
biological connection
is just soul searching desertion
her sickness
was a blackness
that i could not clear
should not be near
sometimes –
people have a sickness
in their head
means, hope is dead
i should have thought it through
