Honesty – Written Tuesday 19th July 2005 (Aged 30)

Honesty

honesty in society
has been missing for sometime
but you never,
get an explanation
you never see missing posters
at your local police station
is it because,
honesty has been missing so long
that no one cares
and everyone,
has forgotten that it was ever there
honesty in society
might have been kidnapped
and murdered,
buried somewhere deep
only to surface in guilty dreams
when we are asleep
i have never seen a television appeal
for the return of honesty,
must we assume it is not longer real
honesty in society,
missing for what must be many years
i wish i could find it,
does anyone care?
