Many Things

i seem to be many things
to many people
aren’t you?
do you not get lost in who you are
changing disguises so often
you forget which one is real
aren’t you
tired of endless trips
on an express train of no destination
held hostage
to desperate situations
we seem to be many things
to many people
hoping to be somebody else
forgetting our true self
aren’t you
tired of changing trams
on the busy tramways of hope
isn’t time we packed our bags
and our thoughts and eloped
