On My Own – Written August (Aged 30)

On My Own

sometimes
just being on my own
asks too many questions
questions i cannot answer
from night time truancy
to the fallen dance
being on my own
puts me under a light
in which i do not always look my best
from grappling with thoughts
to dancing the waltz with mental illness
sometimes
just being on my own
means i have to face away
and i have to look inside
its asks too many questions
questions i cannot answer
being on my own
makes the walls come alive
it is an uphill task
when presented with the inside
