How it Was
do you remember?
i cannot remember if we were
i remember clutching at straws
i remember being scared
fed up of the daily chores
only ever made better by what you wore
sometimes i nearly gave up
you better believe me, i nearly did
but i remember keeping on the pressure
and keeping on my lid
they reckon that if you tilt your smile towards the sun
you are a ‘real looker’
do you remember how it was
a real pressure cooker
