From Acacia Avenue to Evergreen Terrace

from acacia avenue
to evergreen terrace
from the days collecting dole
to my changing face
i gave you it all
from acacia avenue
to evergreen terrace
from the helter skelter
form the days when it was i could do –
to find some shelter
i gave you it all
and i sometimes wonder
if you really see
and as i said to somebody else
it is hard for others to see
when i am trying to be me
