Defence
Today,
I stood
strangely still,
always
on the defence,
clouded
in suspense.
I travelled
across the bounds
of reality —
teetering
on the edge
of sanity.
I washed
my cage,
but I
cannot be free.
Can I become
what I want
to be?
Can I sail
the rough,
tear‑stained sea.
