i felt adventurous –
and travelled the seven seas
to live life as i would
and do as i please

got up this morning and shook my head
felt like i had been hammered
felt like i was dead

if i wrote everytime you were on my mind
the paper and trees of this world
would be something you would never find

i look inwards,
but i still did not know wrong from right
i made a journey to the edges of the world
to find a secret place
to cry for eternity and hide my face

i washed my cage
but i cannot be free
can i be what i want to be?

i was down town
talking to a good looking girl
when i had to pop her head
all because it started to swell

life is a distorted image
an image that will never change
life is just a sick practical joke
