It Is Bigger – Written Wednesday 3rd October 2001 (Aged 26)

It Is Bigger

you turn off the television
you close the paper
it is too much to comprehend
the brutality of human nature –
means, there is a bomb –
strapped to our future
people do not go beyond
they hang onto the mindset
we are all to blame
it is bigger than religion
but it will come down to who is holy
it will be a holy decision
we close our eyes
not through lack of care
but the brutality is so great
and indifference is burned onto our stare
