Life is Different
life is different
hanging on,
where will i be going
settee canoodling
giving way,
to post twenties doodling
pay those bills
pay the company
but i am not a fan
upside down, still listening
to lines like, waiting for the van
unarmed,
but in needs of hands
more careful,
avoiding foreign lands
almost liking,
big brass bands
hanging on,
and in the rush
and in the reeds
lip syncing morals
moisturising different bottles
life is different
rich and surreal in sound
sometimes lost,
yet often found
