Inner Self
the inner self
is mad
it attacks you
and carries around
your self esteem
in plastic carrier bags
it kidnaps your smile
and it makes your sad
the inner self
would like to be deregulated
when it,
comes to emotions
it would like to take hope
and see it segregated
the inner self
is a menace and a danger
yet you know it too well
it has the fear of a stranger
and you would rather
it kept quiet
never spoke up or revealed
its true voice
but some feeling you cannot repeal
and then you have no choice
the inner self
