When? – Written Thursday 4th November 2010 (Aged 35)

When?

when did the pans –
fall out of the cupboard?
when the washing machine –
no longer spin?
when the oven –
no longer cook?
when did the lover –
stop taking a look?
when did the calendar –
run out of dates?
when did pictures –
first fall from your walls?
when did the seasons die?
when did you fail –
but fail to emit a cry
when did the toaster –
no longer make it brown?
when did carts find you –
and drag your sanity around?
when did the soup fail to cook
and when did the potatoes –
not come to the boil
have your thoughts being microwaved
whilst you cry out for tin foil
