Expectation – Written Tuesday 15th February 2005 (Aged 29)

Expectation

not sure,
what you expected in life
i know you do not like the darkness
so i try to be your light
and then,
late at night,
or early in the morning
i try to hold you tight
where does the money go indeed
it is true
seems to be an invisible monster –
that we constantly face
i know,
life, perhaps,
is not what you hoped for
but look around,
we live in a world of broken dreams
and badly stitched seams
try to value,
what you have
because i can tell you
you have a lot
in the melee of life
that can be easily forgot
