She Said, I Am a Feminist
she said,
i did not know much about feminism
it is true,
i do not,
i argued for the sake of arguing
the reason never there, not forgot
she said,
i am feminist
and i asked what it meant
i saw her eyes mist over
and a snapshot of a time when she dreamt
before the landscapes engulfed her confidence
and self belief became unkempt
she could not tell me what it actually meant
she had interjected an ideal
and like so many, hoped it would make her feel
