You Are Not as Clever as Me

you are not as clever as me
and i am not that smart
i am flat pack furniture
with a faulty part
you are not as clever as me
not my intellectual equal
and i have nothing to discuss
i am not the sharpest tool in the box
you can see my rust
i am offended by stupid opinion
based on ignorance and hate
i cannot stand narrow mindedness
and my wit is rarely late
you are not as clever as me
though, like most people –
who are short of a sandwich or two
a kind of egocentric nature exists
where they think that they rule
you are not as clever as me
and i am not that bright
i am hardly the brightest star
shining in the sky at night
you are not as clever as me
