Madman’s Daughter (Originally Untitled) – Written Friday 28th April 2006 (Aged 31)

Madman’s Daughter

i was struck –
by the madman’s daughter
they held my head
tried to push me under the water
i was struck –
by her wide eyes
and the snakes swimming within
she copied everything i said
and followed me –
from town to town
the madman’s daughter
just wanted me to drown
this was no circus act
what kind of distorted clown –
is the madman’s daughter
they tried to push me down
i was struck –
by how the hands of sanity
had never caught her
