Season of Forgiveness
season of forgiveness
it has begun
chasing away the winter
courting the sun
it is the season for forgiveness
as this place welcomes the sun
let it shine
and reign over the promenade
the cold winters
make the winter hard
season of forgiveness
when the beach becomes gold
even if the shingles
are another story told
season of forgiveness
with all is forgiven
when we embrace the sun
this town comes alive
and we feel warm
we despise this seaside place in winter
forgive it in the summer
and now as it draws closer
it is the season of forgiveness
